Events & Promotion

As curator for the Thornwillow Bloomsyear Centennial Reading of James Joyce’s Ulysses, I gathered collectors, curators, fans and friends reading from archival copies of Ulysses - from early editions to copies inscribed by Joyce, to dog-eared and annotated copies with covers falling off. Many of our 200+ readers provide a brief introduction, discussing their copy of the book and their history with Joyce. Some of our readers film themselves in locations related to the action of the story, or within the stacks, offices, reading rooms, and exhibition halls of major institutions.

My interest in promoting Einstein: The Man and His Mind, derives from the stories behind the rare and stunning inscribed photographs and letters in the collection, and from the old-school collaborative relationship between collector Dr. Gary S. Berger and his dealer and co-author, Michael DiRuggiero of Manhattan Rare Books, who are donating the proceeds from this labor of love to the Einstein Archive at Hebrew University.
